The Past in The Present: Caroline Carr from Donegal County Museum and Niamh Brennan, County Archivist will bring objects from their collections to community venues around County Donegal. Dates to be arranged

From April 12th - June 30th: Events of the Year Quilts and Testimonies of Survival Exhibition: A temporary exhibition of year quilts by Irene MacWilliam spanning over 25 years+. The quilts illustrate Irene's skill of quilting and her concerns about natural and human disasters. There will also be a few Latin American arpilleras from Chile. Curator: Roberta Bacic. Admission is free. All are welcome.

'Documenting an event or a person in Textiles' Workshop with Irene MacWilliam in association with Events of the Year Quilts and Testimonies of Survival Exhibition: Some material will be provided but participants should bring: a piece of plain background cotton fabric, slightly larger than A4 size, pieces of fabric, plain or with small patterns, coloured embroidery threads and stitching threads, sewing needles, any sequins, beads or buttons, small sharp sissors, pins, paper scissors, pencil, rubber and a few sheets of blank paper. If your piece is in memory of a family member or friend, bring any pieces of fabric from their clothes. A list will be provided to those who sign up. Packed lunch should also be brought. Workshop runs from 10am - 4pm. It is free of charge but booking is essential as only 12 places available.

Bealtaine 2012 has a diverse range of events including storytelling; flower arranging; computer workshops; exhibitions; crochet classes and music & song. One lady in the Forge Family Resource Centre in Pettigo said she looks forward to Bealtaine every year, this year she is looking forward to Fergus Cleary she says 'Fergus is great craic, he has more stories than the bible'.
