Prime is a free 6 day programme focussing on career supports and training opportunities for the mature professional actor. Engage with a community of your peers as well as public sector and industry professionals in an intensive programme of professional development, including sessions on entrepreneurship and welfare as well as physical health supports.

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Flann O’Brien’s death, International Literature Festival Dublin in association with Irish Theatre Institute’s PRIME initiative & Bealtaine Festival , present a rehearsed reading of his one-act play, Thirst. When a sergeant finds him serving after-hours, publican Ignatius Cornelius Coolahan regales his accuser with a protracted story of military service in the desert in the hope of tapping into his sense of thirst.
